MCPL and MOSAIC'S FIRST INFORMATION FAIR

This was the first Information Fair to take place at a Suffolk County Library. Thanks to MCPL for allowing MOSAIC to hold such a Fair at their library. There were over 26 Suffolk County organizations in attendance, including dancers from Teatro Rodante and over 100 patrons in attendance. The next fair will take place at the Northport East Northport Public Library in the spring. It is MOSAIC’s hope that many libraries in Suffolk County will come on board to hold a similar fair at their library. SEPA Mujer was one of the many organizations in attendance and Martha Maffei, Executive Director of SEPA Mujer will be the guest speaker at the next MOSAIC meeting to be held on November 12 at SCLS. Topics will include: o SEPA Mujer's programs o Development of leadership skills o Latina Immigrants organizing for real change on Long Island o Forms of immigration relief available for survivors of domestic Violence If you would like to attend, please contact ELugo at el@longwoodlibrary.org.
